Commuter's harassment will not be tolerated: Arvinder Lovely

New Delhi: Two day's strike called by the auto rickshaw union in the national capital has made the commuter to face irk. The harassment faced by the commuters will not be tolerated. Strict action to be taken by the government against three wheelers who violates the permit conditions. This was said by the transport minister of Delhi Arvinder Singh Lovely at a press conference. He stated that the strike called by the auto rickshaw union in the capital is illegal as there demands are not justified and the government is not going to compromise on the set norms and the law to give in to them.
"Autos are here for the convenience of the passengers and government has decided not to succumb to the pressure tactics of auto drivers, If an inpidual auto drivers has problem or is being harassed by our staff despite have been the required permit and documentation, strict action against the official concerned would be taken".
He further added that strict action would be taken against the three wheeler operator and drivers who violated the permit conditions. Government is making alternative arrangements to facilitate the commuters. Help line number is going to start by the transport department to lodge complaints against the auto rickshaw/taxi drivers who are overcharging the commuters and refuse to go anywhere in the city. Permit will be cancelled if they do so. Helpline number, which will be a toll free number, would start in a week.
